May 26, 2016 (St. Louis, MO) – Rung Boutique, a local non-profit resale boutique for women and children, is excited to announce its 3rd Annual Memorial Day Weekend Sale benefiting American Gold Star Mothers. The sale begins Friday, May 27th and continues Saturday, May 28th and Monday, May 30th. Rung is located on 9741 Manchester Road (across from the Hacienda Restaurant) in Rock Hill.
“All of us at Rung are overjoyed to fundraise for the Missouri chapter of American Gold Star Mothers during our Memorial Day Weekend Sale for the 3rd year in a row,” says Rung’s Founder and President Ali Kindle Hogan. “Terrie Hobson and all the women committed to American Gold Star Mother’s cause of helping families of veterans have huge hearts. Fundraising for them during this holiday of remembrance aligns perfectly with our mission of supporting and empowering women and children in the St. Louis area.”
This Memorial Day, Rung is having a major sale with a major purpose. Rung, a local non-profit boutique, will be donating 5% of all sales during all three days to American Gold Star Mothers, an organization made up of dedicated mothers who have lost a son or daughter in the service of our community.
“We are thrilled to have Rung’s support once again during this Memorial Day Weekend,” says Terrie Hobson, president of the Missouri chapter of American Gold Star Mothers. “The fundraiser is very helpful because it allows American Gold Star Mothers to continue its mission of serving families of veterans, and it brings us together with Rung and their customers and donors to further strengthen our whole community.”
American Gold Star Mothers continues to honor our sons and daughters through service and events in the community. Like Rung, American Gold Star Mothers has a similar mission of women-helping-women in the greater St. Louis area. Through events, growth opportunities, and empowering one another, both organizations are dedicated to making a difference.
Rung is honored to support American Gold Star Mothers during one of its biggest sales of the year. Come join Rung on May 27th, 10am-6pm, May 28th, 10am-5pm, and May 30th, 10am-2pm. February 6, 2013 (St. Louis, MO) – We are very excited to share the “birth announcement” of Sprung. The celebration begins with a soft opening on Friday, February 8th at 9741 Manchester Road in Rock Hill followed by a grand opening slated for Saturday, April 27th.
“I am so excited to open the newest love of my life—Sprung,” said Ali Kindle, founder and president of Sprung/Rung.
This is no ordinary retail opening or resale store. Sprung is an “innovative” children’s resale boutique with a twist. Sprung is a local 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is about families-helping-families. A significant amount of the net profits from sales are donated to benefit the Nurses for Newborns in Missouri.
“After several years [personally] supporting Nurses for Newborns and after knowing some of the great women that work with them, the idea all came together perfectly that they would become the beneficiaries of Sprung,” said Kindle.
Nurses for Newborns provides a safety net for families most-at-risk by helping prevent infant mortality, child abuse and neglect through home-based programs that provide education, healthcare and positive parenting skills.
What’s the Rung and Sprung difference…
Rung opened its doors in 2010 and is the “parent” to Sprung. While Sprung offers a children’s and maternity line, Rung provides women’s resale clothing. Rung has a similar non-profit business model whose mission is about women-helping-women. A significant amount of Rung’s net profits from sales benefit the Women’s Foundation of Greater Saint Louis.
Rung and Sprung are a great place for people to change lives just by changing out their closets. From your closet to our community, donations and purchases make a difference for women, children and families in the St. Louis area. Anytime you make a donation, we will return the kindness by providing a coupon for 20% off the total of your next purchase at either location.
Rung and Sprung are located next door to one another— connected inside via a walkthrough. Both boutiques offer customers the convenience of an open floor plan with contemporary décor and “affordable” resale pricing in an upbeat shopping atmosphere.
